Our first day in NY, Makaela was still very much on Hawaii time, so at 7pm, she was ready to go swimming. Luckily, Uncle Joe was home to serve as the lifeguard/swim instructor. She had a great time being thrown up in the air and Joe even had her swimming underwater for a few minutes. By the end of the evening, she was telling Joe to let her go and swim by herself. She is not actually ready to do that yet, but she had a great time showing off to Grandma and Grandpa.
