A few weeks ago I blogged that I was going to let Mia "cry it out" and learn to self soothe. Well, her idea of self soothing is sucking her thumb. I am happy to report that she is sleeping through the night now: from 7-7:30pm to 5-5:30am. Sometimes at 2 or 3am, I hear her sucking away on her thumb and she eventually just falls asleep. Right now, I can't complain...let's see how I feel when she is 14 and the orthodontist bills start coming in :-)Here is a picture of Makaela's first thumb sucking experience, but it never became a habit for her.
