Superbowl

Superbowl was a bit different for us this year.  My mom watch Madi while Matt and I took the girls to a former neighbor's Superbowl party/housewarming party.  We were really looking forward to it until we realized the game didn't start until 6:30pm...problem being that the girls' bedtime is 7:30 and the home where the party was was 30 minutes away. In Hawaii, the Superbowl started so early, it was a daytime party and we got home with plenty of time to prep for Monday.  Now that we are back on Eastern Standard time, things are different. We got to the party at 4- plenty of time for the kids to bounce around, play and drink enough snow cones to get a massive sugar high.

Around 6pm though, everyone started leaving.  The common excuse was "It's Sunday and the kids have school tomorrow".  Matt and I hadn't anticipated leaving BEFORE the game, but when we stopped to think about it, it made sense. We packed up the kids, were home before the 1st quarter ended, put the kids to bed and Matt and I (and Madi) were snuggled up on the couch in time for the half time show and the rest of the game.  Not too shabby.
