Makaela's recital fell on Father's Day so after her recital, we took a drive to the beaches for some dinner on the water. Neighbors told us about this place called Caps on the Water so I wanted to try it. The entire restaurant was outside and it had stairs down to the inlet. I had forgotten about Matt's preference of not eating outside when it is hot, but it was too late, the girls saw the beach and beelined for it. Mia was basically wading in the water fully dressed. The scenery was stunning even if we ended up being a bit more sweaty than we preferred. In any event, this Father's Day was a bit more low key than last years- his present last year was not a dinner out, but rather the news that he was going to be a dad for the third time.
