Today was Makaela's first recital and it was a big to-do at Flagler College. The whole family and my mom went to see it and it brought back so many memories of my own years of recitals (many many recitals). Mia couldn't understand why she couldn't go with Makaela backstage, so the start of the recital was met with many tears. I will hold on to this picture to remind her when she is a teenager that there was a time when she didn't want to leave her sister's side.
Madi slept through most of the performances and when she wasn't sleeping, she was in awe of the lights. Makaela did so well. I was so proud of her. Matt met her at the door with flowers to congratulate her.
