Madi was christened at Good Shepherd in Long Island, the same church Matt and I got (re)married in and the same church we christened Makaela and Mia. Madi looked adorable in her christening gown (a last minute purchase on the part of my mom and Aunt Donna). The priest was a bit difficult to understand and that could be due to his accent and partially due to Madi's incessant crying. Let's just say, she didn't start her pathway to Catholicism quietly.
My brother Joe, the godfather, and Mia |
Mia passed out halfway through the christening- Joe was a good sport about holding her. Candace, Madi's godmother looked on. |
We had a party for her back at my parent's house and the kids played all afternoon in the pool. Family and NY friends showed up as well as Matt's grandma from Kansas and his aunt and cousin from Iowa.

Look how well we coordinated (I had no part in this either) |
Mia really enjoyed the cupcake cake |
A picture of all the girls- it was great seeing them all play together. The moms are such good friends, I hope this continues to the next generation. |
