8th Months of Madi

Madi is now an independent sitter and is all smiles and giggles. It's difficult to keep her still at this point because everything interests her, but she loves to sit in her bumbo and "play" legos with her sisters.  She is still a skinny mini and the doctor is still concerned with her weight and her throwing up, but she is still smiling and a happy little camper.

A picture of my outfit after one of Madi's burps...we go through a lot of laundry.

Makaela is a Kindergartner!!

Makaela is finally in Kindergarten!  It seems strange since we had to wait an extra year for her to start since we moved to FL (in Hawaii she would have been in 1st grade already), so it has been a long time coming and she finally feels like she is a big girl. Her teacher is Mrs. Sprinkle and we have heard great things about her.  Makaela came home and told us she is the best teacher because she makes "learning fun" which is the best thing a parent can hear about the child's teacher.  Mia wanted to go to "big school" with her sister, but she had to be content with some pictures instead. Since I have started back to work, it has been a bit tough to get everyone to school.  I have to leave the house at 6:30am to drop Mia and Madi at daycare and then I drive back to our neighborhood to drop Makaela off at a neighbors and swap her for the neighbor's son who goes to the middle school I teach at.  Makes for a long day, but it works.
