Christmas Pictures

Once again, I waited until the last minute to take Christmas pictures so we were forced to take pictures in front of the house.  Luckily the girls came out beautiful and the card came out lovely.  You would think with the amount of Pinterest holiday card pins I have, I would have prepped early, but no.  Oh well, there is always next year.

This one didn't make it into the card :-)

And this one didn't make it in the card either.  Madi kept leaning over and pulling Makaela's hair.

Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus

The hotel in World Golf Village was hosting a breakfast buffet with Santa and Mrs. Claus and we thought we would take advantage of it.  The line was fairly long when we first got there so we waited and as the breakfast crowd thinned out, we went up to meet Santa.  Santa and Mrs. Claus were so nice and just loved the girls.  We got a lot of personal attention.

Christmas Decorations

We barely got up from Thanksgiving dinner when Makaela asked to decorate the house (seriously, we hadn't even gotten out of our seats).  Begrudgingly, Matt dragged all the boxes down from the attic and the girls and I got busy decorating. I must say, we unpacked and decorated in record time.

Our neighbor had already put lights up so we took pictures by their house

Makaela's Santa list.  She wants a "real phone", "an ipad", "a real car"...not asking too much, huh.

And our Elf came out!  This year his name is Mikey, but it tends to change every year.

11 months of Madi

Madi turned 11 months during Thanksgiving weekend so her 11 month celebration was a whirlwind of holiday decorations.  Madi has only gained 7 ounces since last month (she is now 17.8 lbs) and the doctor is a bit nervous about this.  This kid moves around so much though, she is probably burning off all the calories she eats.  She is doing so well at her preschool and her teachers love her.  Luckily, my very good friend works there and she sends me videos throughout the day.  She is a binky child all the way through too.

Mia turns 3!

Last year Mia wanted to go to Sea World for her birthday and she said she wanted to do the same this year.  At the last minute, she decided she wanted a "Princess Party" so I had to pull together a party in less than a week.  We ended up having a lovely little party for her and all her friends wore princess dresses and costumes.  Mia is such a go-with-the-flow type of kid; she acted like it was a grand party and thoroughly enjoyed it.

She acts all coy

After decorating cupcakes, she wanted to just decorate and eat icing and what the birthday girl wants, the birthday girl gets

Mill Creek Fall Festival

This was our first experience at a school Fall Festival and it was so cute watching Makaela walk the grounds and show me around.  She was so excited to use the big 4th and 5th grade playground, to see all her friends outside school hours and to try to dunk her teacher.  We LOVE her teacher Mrs. Sprinkle, but Makaela really wanted to dunk her.  We spent a few tickets at that booth.

Mia got in on the action

This was an interesting booth

It was a beautiful night and the campus was beautiful

This was one happy girl.

Halloween 2013

We love dressing up as a family theme (okay, that is actually me who loves it) so when Makaela decided to dress up as a wolf this year, we all followed suit.  Mia was a darling Little Red Riding Hood, who hated wearing her hood, I was the grandmother and Matt was the woodsman.  Poor Madi didn't exactly fit in, but we still had a 3 month outfit that we hadn't gotten to use yet so she went as Cinderella.
Our friends the Larsens went as the Tangled cast so at least we are not the only themed family.

All the N Cappero kids.
We had a lot of fun walking around.  Makaela walked far ahead with all her friends and I got a glimpse of what having a preteen/teenage daughter would be like.  Speaking of, a bunch of my middle school students found me and tagged along for a while.  They were enamored with Mia and Madi.

She had a great night.
