We arrive in Kauai pretty late, so when we woke, we were in for a wonderful surprise. The grounds and the view from our room were breathtaking. Both kids woke up to find a new playmate (Michelle's son Tommy is 4). The kids loved mimicking the roosters and Makaela yelled "cock-a-doodle-doo" everytime she saw one. Makaela was in heaven once she saw the kiddie pool. It has 4 spouting turtles for the kids to climb on and a kiddie waterslide. At first Makaela wouldn't go near the slide, but then she moved to climbing the steps to throw toys down the slide, then she would go down the slide only if I was there to catch her and then by the afternoon, she was a pro at the waterslide. It was great watching her gain confidence in the water. The kids ran around so much, she were exhausted and passed out early.
