Hawaii's annual state fair is going on this month, so we decided to take Makaela. She is old enough to experience the excitement, even if she is not tall enough to go on all of the rides. At first we were pretty disappointed because the ride tickets were so expensive and we couldn't find a lot of rides that were geared to her age group, but we realized we walked in the wrong direction. By the time we headed towards the exit, we stumbled on the kiddie ride section and the fair definitely redeemed itself. We did learn that Makaela is a big dare devil. The faster the ride went, the better. She didn't have the patience for the ferris wheel, but loved the zipper cars (speedway).
At the fair's petting zoo (I fell in love with the little pig)
On the ferris wheel for the first time
Eating funnel cake for the first tim
On the speedway ride
On the helicopter ride
