Yesterday we inherited a new pet. A friend of mine, Val, has to move to Washington because her husband is in the military and got transferred, but unfortunately, the military won't transport fish, so Makaela "adopted" this little beta fish. Val's son, Cameron, had named the fish Africa, but Makaela just couldn't remember that name and ended up calling the fish, just "fish". When I asked her what she wanted to name the fish, she decided "Nemo" even though the fish could not look anything less like Nemo. We will see how long that name lasts until she wants to change it again. Right now we are working on practicing feeding the fish and reminding Makaela that we can't pet the fish or take him for a walk.
