Today, Makaela and I headed up to Haleiwa to join our friends at the beach. I told Makaela about our plans last night and she woke at 6am saying, "mama, let's go beach to see my friends". They all had a great time digging and playing in the surf while the adults hung out and enjoyed conversation and scenery. Steph and I even experienced our first attempt at paddleboarding and I love it. Makaela joined me for a sit down ride around the inlet. By the time we left, Makaela fell alseep instantly in the car so Matt and I called a babysitter and escaped for a little once our angel was sleeping for a movie.
