Avoiding school already

Makaela has been giving me some problems about going to preschool since Matt left. She cries when I drop her off which has been breaking my heart, but when I pick her up, she is fine and chatters about her day. In the car today, she started coughing (in a very fake manner I might add) and said, "I can't go to school today momma. I sick." I explained to her that today was Saturday and school was closed and then I added, "So if you are sick, I guess we can't go to the beach then." She quickly added, "I no sick momma, I fine, see" and gave me the biggest smile she could. Oh, how quickly she changed her tune.
